In a large network of independent consultants, where HR systems aren’t required, it is challenging to track users important information and ensure that important dates, like birthdays, aren’t missed.

The Solution
Using a pre-existing personnel directory, stored in a SharePoint list we added an additional column to store the birthday of each member within the network. Using Power Automate we scheduled a workflow to check all of the birthdays in the personnel directory every day and send an email to designated users if a birthday is in 7 or 14 days. This gives them plenty of time to make necessary arrangements.
