IT Support Technician

The Challenge:

Heliocentrix is on the lookout for an outstanding IT Support Technician to work with their team based in our new open plan offices in Marden.

We need someone who is customer focused with an admiration for customer service, great communication skills, and a passion for technology. You will be experienced in giving a first class IT service to resolve client issues.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Working on and completing service tickets, keeping records of work completed
  • Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support remotely or on site when necessary
  • Monitoring & actioning system alerts as they arise and resolve as necessary
  • Work with clients to monitor and renew software licences as necessary.
  • Regularly assisting with preventative maintenance checks of IT infrastructure both internally and for our customers.
  • Office 365 and Windows AD user account management.
  • Assisting with the construction and implementation of IT contingency, migrations and upgrade plans.
  • Ensuring that both Heliocentrix and our clients are compliant with all policies and procedures in the information security management systems
  • Ensuring that all data is processed and handled securely and to the appropriate classification level
  • Working to ensure that any data breaches are reported promptly, handled efficiently and through the appropriate channels.

The Person:

The person we are looking for will be ready to take on a fast-paced and exciting role. You must be able to quickly diagnose and solve problems and have great communication skills.

To help us unlock our clients’ potential you’ll need:

  • Willingness to learn new skills, products and services.
  • A Level (or equivalent) IT or Computer Science or previous experience in a support role.
  • Knowledge of Office 365, Windows 10, Windows 10 Troubleshooting, Windows server 2016
  • Previous experience in customer services or show an aptitude for support
  • Excellent trouble-shooter with an eye for detail.

It would be useful if you also had experience of the following as these are areas in which we work:

  • Linux OS
  • Mac OS
  • Hardware Firewall Configuration
  • Microsoft 365, Intune and AzureAD
  • Knowledge of DHCP, DNS and Windows AD

Due to the nature of the role you must have a clean diving license and your own car with business insurance which you are willing to use for work purposes. You will be paid business mileage.
