Overview
This follow‑on workshop is designed for those who have completed our Introduction to Copilot session and are ready to move beyond the basics to unlock greater value from AI.
In this session, we will explore agents and other emerging capabilities that extend Copilot from a helpful assistant into a more proactive and task‑driven partner in your day‑to‑day work.
What are agents?
Agents are AI‑powered helpers that can be configured to carry out specific tasks, follow defined instructions, and work across tools on your behalf. Rather than responding to a single prompt, agents can support repeatable activities, assist with workflows, and help with decision‑making. This allows you to reduce manual effort and focus on higher‑value work.
What we will cover
What agents are and how they work
A clear and practical explanation of agents, how they differ from standard Copilot prompts, and where they fit within the Microsoft ecosystem.Real‑world examples and use cases
Practical scenarios showing how agents can support everyday tasks, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency across teams.Beyond Copilot: what comes next
An overview of additional tools and features that build on your Copilot foundation, helping you understand what is possible and how to plan your next steps.
This is a hands‑on, discussion‑led session with time built in for questions and conversation. You are encouraged to bring your own ideas, challenges, or processes you would like to improve.
By the end of the workshop, you will have a clearer understanding of what agents are, where they add the most value, and how to start using AI more strategically beyond basic Copilot interactions.

Copilot is an AI assistant you interact with directly whereas Agents work more autonomously. You define rules and objectives, then agents monitor conditions, make decisions, and take actions without needing constant prompts. Agents are ideal for repetitive tasks, monitoring, and workflows that follow predictable pattern.
No. This workshop is designed for business users, not developers. While we’ll show you how agents are built, the focus is on understanding concepts, identifying opportunities, and making informed decisions about using agents, not writing code
